Indiana stared out the window of Number 12 Grimmauld Place. It was an ordinarily grey day in London, even though it was summer.
Not that it means anything, Indie thought glumly.
There was cluttering behind her, and she turned absent-mindedly to find what it was coming from.
"What are you doing?" Indie murmured, her jaw held closed by her palm under chin as she spoke.
Her brother, Anton, was banging about with his trunk, moving things around within it and also in his cupboard.
"What does it look like?" he said bluntly, "I'm packing my trunk. There's nothing else to do around here..."
Indie rolled her eyes and turned back to her window, which had now fogged up nicely. The sun was slowly setting over the city, meaning it was getting late. Indie knew exactly what that meant.
The clock struck half-five from downstairs, and the blonde, fifteen-year-old found another cause to sigh.
Tonight, like every other night, there was a meeting.
Not just any meeting, but the regular meeting of the Order of the Phoenix. The headmaster at Indie's school, Professor Dumbledore had founded it back when the Dark Lord was at large the first time. So now, since Harry Potter, a Gryffindor boy in her year, had seen You-Know-Who return before the summer, the Order had been called to...well, order...to prepare.
Although, Harry Potter hadn't arrived here at Grimmauld Place yet, now that Indie had actually thought about it. Ron and Hermione, his two friends, and Indie's too, were here, but he was yet to arrive.
Perhaps that was where Tonks and Moody had been headed off to...
Anyway, Indie had to get ready. She stood up from her chair, now realising that she hadn't moved in over three hours, to walk over to her bed. Plonking on the comfortably soft mattress, she took in a deep breath and closed her eyes.
Indie opened her mind, and let it wander about the room. She found her way into Anton's unprotected mind, and had to smirk at his frustrated thoughts. A quiet giggle followed her smirk, at which Anton turned angrily.
"Get out of my head, Indie!" he exclaimed, throwing his socks at the wardrobe on the opposite wall. He muttered incoherent swear words under his breath as he threw more items of clothing at his wardrobe and trunk.
Indie smiled gleefully.
"Gladly mate, I've got more interesting minds to butt into," she said.
Her mind left Anton's, and traveled through the hallways of Headquarters, finding people she could annoy.
Ooh, she found Ron, what will he say?
'Hey Ron, what's happening?' she said through her mental connection. She felt Weasley jump, and sniggered in her head, before leaving him behind.
She found Hermione in the next room, having a conversation with Ginny Weasley, Ron's sister. She didn't bother with them, as their conversation was probably not Indie's cup of tea.
Then, her other siblings were in the lounge room, with the exception of her eldest brother, who was with the other Aurors collecting Harry.
While she listened in on their conversation, she pondered. Of all her siblings, except for Scott, who was an Auror, she was the only one in the Order. Scott was 20, and had just finished his second year of training with the Ministry of Magic. Melanie and Paul were the twins in the middle, who were both 17. They were of age, but Indie's mother didn't allow them into meetings. And finally, there was herself, Anton and Bella. The three of them were all 15, and of course were not allowed in meetings either. Except Indie...
Her siblings were a little resentful, but they understood. Indie sometimes hated the meetings though. Sure, it was great knowing everything, but the toll that the information took on her was hard to tolerate.
Her mind wandered from downstairs and back up to her bedroom. She took in another breath, and slowly let her eyes flutter open.
Continuing on her train of thought, she sighed.
Yes, the toll was horrible, but it was for everyone's own good.
See, Indie was born a natural Legillimens and Occlumens, which meant that she could break through the barriers of people's minds. She could search their thoughts and find out their actions. That was her job within the Order. To break through the barriers of Death Eaters and their accomplices. And, of course, the one and only Lord Voldemort.
She shivered at the thought of the Dark Lord. He had proven to be her hardest challenge yet. He wasn't always on guard, which was good, but still, his barriers were strong. Indie had to seep in through the cracks and collect everything she found.
Of course, that was her job. Her responsibility, her mother had called it. As she stood up and stomped out of her room and down the stairs, a not so delightful thought swept through her.
That's all she was. Just a useful source of information.

She was just the Little Order Girl........
