"I hope I'll be ready. I'll try and get some practice before the try outs." Then Evelyn remembered something she had been meaning to ask her, "Miranda, I was wondering about the rules to do with broomsticks. Does the school have brooms we use for matches, or can I have my own broomstick from home posted here?"
Miranda seemed happy, maybe even a little hyped up, which just made Evelyn feel even more adventurous. Maybe, in a little while, Evelyn could have a quick look around the castle. There was a high chance that Evelyn would get lost. But someone will notice I've gone missing before anything too bad happens to me, right? It would be an awful shame for me to die on my first day here, Evelyn thought a little morbidly and laughed on the inside.
Aw, this girl was nice. Miranda smiled crookedly at her talk about not making the team. Tryouts were soon here and she'd be forced to let people down when they realised they hadn't made it on the roster for this term. But Evelyn was positive, so that's good.
"Well, don't give up yet, I'm sure you'll do fine." She smiled more sincerely this time.
"Good, because practice makes PERFECT!" She put a finger in the air to accent the word. Hehe.
"Hm?" Miranda bent her head down a little to hear what Evelyn was going to ask her.
"Oh, yes the School has brooms. They are used mainly for the Flying lessons, but anyone who's on the team can borrow them if they don't have any of their own." Yep, yep. Miranda had been using them so far, but now that her custom made one was on her way, she'd be flyyyiiing hiiiiigh!
"Yes, ofcourse you can have your own. I ordered a broomstick and it's hopefully on it's way here hehe. The rules are that they first years can't have their own broomsticks. But you're a third year right? So, there's no problem there." Quote:

"Hey, Miranda! Get all the food off you eventually then?" she winked, plopping herself down in the nearest available space, and smiling at those that her friend was talking to. "Hello there, I'm Sarah, your friendly neighbourhood prefect.Nice to meet you all."
Hearing her name being called, Miranda turned around and saw that it was Prefect Sarah. She felt herself blush, not because of the food comment, but because of what she'd done.
"Yeah...I think. Why, do I still have something on my face?" She asked alarmed and started to brush away what probably wasn't there with her hands.
She could see how beat Sarah was looking. Prefecting must be really hard.
"Hey are you okay? How's Prefecting going?" Miranda smiled gently and sat down next to her.

Seeing someone walk closer, her eyes looked up and there was Emalyn again! Woot!
"Heeeey, what you been up to?" She asked happily and then noticed something poking out between Emalyn's hair.
"Hai there!" she waggled a finger at it. And then she narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips.
"Did you sign up for tryouts?" Miranda would have to skip down there soon. She was
pretty curious to see who had already jotted down their names on the parchment!
