He honestly hadn't expected Alexa to just leave, and for a moment stared after her. So much for being able to help Jack out fully. Letting out a heavy sigh Sabel rubbed the back of his neck, deciding it was probably best to set a few things straight before she took off too. It didn't matter so much for Alexa, as she had not seemed to believe the statement in the first place, but Enid on the other hand...well she believed it.
Turning to Enid he held up his hands, hoping he would have her attention for at least a minute. He had no idea how he was going to say it, and he had less of an idea how she would react; all he knew was that he had to put it forward. That was if she understood him when he didn't speak in old English
"Okay, look. First things first. This..." He reached around and pulled Merlin off from his shoulders to hold the cat in front of him so she knew exactly what he was talking about.... "Is not the King of Hogwarts. I appologize for the confusion. I did not realize at the time who exactly you were looking for. This cat, Merlin, likes to think he is the king of whichever building he inhabits - in this case Hogwarts - so I figured it appropriate to present him as such. I appologize."
He took a small breath before continuing, wanting to get it all out before she could interrupt him. "I now realize you are looking for the Headmaster, and I appologize for misleading you. The true King of Hogwarts, Headmaster Tate is on the second floor. However, this gentleman..." He guestured to Jack. "Would appreciate a brief moment of your time. Again. Appologies." He gave a quick bow, hoping that would clear things up. |
