As he contemplated the boy's question, Professor Svensson tidied an already near-perfect pile of parchment on his desk and wiped his quill on a scrap piece of parchment.
"Split classes? Oh, no," Svensson finally answered, shaking his head with a smile. "I feel that more advanced students can always benefit from thinking about things more simply, and that way the advanced students are available if beginners need help on homework or whatnot." Svensson paused and twirled the quill between his forefinger and thumb. "Is that all you wanted to ask, Jake?"
Sighing in something that was like relief, Jake noted the change in classes and smiled to himself. That made his job alot easier for today. Visibly relaxing, Jake looked around the familiar office and shook his head. He couldn't come to see a professor and just ask one question. That wasn't fuuuuun.
"No," the boy replied lightly, looking straight back at Svensson.
"Ssssir... Duhh-didn't yyyyou like t-t-transf-f-ffffigurrrrattion?" he asked, in s scarily hopeful voice, the look in his eyes confirming that.
