Svensson repeated the boy's name in his head as he let the door fall closed and stepped back around his desk. Jake. Jake was the kid who seemed nervous. Hmm.

As he contemplated the boy's question, Professor Svensson tidied an already near-perfect pile of parchment on his desk and wiped his quill on a scrap piece of parchment.

"Split classes? Oh, no," Svensson finally answered, shaking his head with a smile. "I feel that more advanced students can always benefit from thinking about things more simply, and that way the advanced students are available if beginners need help on homework or whatnot." Svensson paused and twirled the quill between his forefinger and thumb. "Is that all you wanted to ask, Jake?"
