NEXT DAY Tariana woke to the sun blazing in through the window above her bed. Great, just great. So much for sleeping in on a Sunday... well, she must've slept in, for the dorm was empty. Dragging herself out of her bed, she quickly showered, brushed her teeth and dressed herself in a tight black sweater, fitted dark blue jeans and black heel-less boots. She didn't need to be any taller than she already was. Raking a hand through her long black hair, she grabbed a book she'd been reading out of her trunk and took off for the Great Hall, eager to attack some coffee. Coffee was the only human food she could truly tolerate. After prowling down the hallways, she entered the Great Hall and plopped down at the Gryffindor table, grabbing a cup of coffee-black, nothing added-and sipped it, allowing the hot liquid to fill her veins. Not blood, but it was an okay substitute. Opening her book, she began to read. |
