Evelyn felt a bit like crying when she heard what Nulu said, "You mean...you didn't...why didn't people...that's so...you must've felt..." This didn't make any sense to Evelyn. "But you get along with people so well here. You seem to be able to make friends so easily."

That's just so unfair! Why wouldn't children want to be friends with this sweet little girl? She doesn't look sad. But she must be! What do I do?!?

"Here. Have a pastry," Evelyn blurted, holding one out to her, "Have them all!" Evelyn grabbed the whole plate of Cornish pastries and sat it in front of Nulu.
