Jacob, on the other hand, was a killjoy who thought Hermione was 'really pretty'. This displeased Tariana very much. She had no idea why, but jealousy was still roaring in her stomach over that. Maybe she would tell him why she was upset, but it would be later when they were alone. Until then, she kept her cool around the humans.
Tyler's words made her stiffen. "I needed air," she repeated. She had said this earlier, when she had returned.
When the other girl came up, she turned and smiled at her. "Nice to meet you, Katheryn. I'm Tariana Zakir." She eyed her hand, refusing to shake it. She couldn't. Eep!

Katheryn felt slightly sad at being left behind but she smiled at her instead. "Nice to meet you too Tariana," she said, "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?"
