So very close...," she said, choking on the last word. A lump rose in her throat and her eyes stung from where tears threatened to fall. She looked up so that her violet gaze locked with her best friend's dark one. She couldn't help it; she was shaking slightly, something she noted Jacob did if he got mad or if he was about to phase. But she wasn't going to phase into anything; she already was the monster she could become. "I don't want to hurt anybody... I don't want this to end the way it did at the American school. I just want to be normal, and be able to be friends with the humans! Is that so much to ask for?" When they stopped Jacob turned to look at her, she looked so scared, and ready to cry. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "Of course it's not too much to ask Tari, and you can do it! It would just be easier with smaller numbers, you can't take on an entire crowd by yourself at one time." he said quietly, not needing to speak loudly due to their proximity. "Tari, I know you don't want to hurt anyone." he looked down, he'd hurt someone at one time to, but he had to learn to forgive himself, "Sometimes...Sometimes it's inevitable though." he added.
