What was that tone now that emphasized 'him'? And he would be the pretty boy rude Scouse if he talked like that. He snorted. If it wasn't for the happiness hormone chocolate made him synthesize, he would have commented on that.
He was still under the happiness hormone when she talked to him. He froze, listening to her. He eyed his pile of chocolate. Of course all was his. He didn't have anyone to share with. He didn't know where Lavi, Thalia, Adam or the French guy was. Besides, he totally needed some happiness and calmness right now. "Of course not, Beaumont. As an ex-footballer, I do pay attention to my fitness, thank you." A perfect lie. Mwhaha. Once she was gone, all would be his. My precious.
Iris rolled her eyes when he said this.
"Ex-Footballer? HA! Yeah, and I invented the 13th use for Dragon Blood. Pfft. Really. You're such a bad liar. Maybe you should work on you're lieing, because after all, As a Snake, you should be able to lie." Iris thought about what she'd just said, and kicked a stray piece of chocolate that had fallen on the floor, just to see Evan's expression.
"Then again, it might just be other snakes that can tell when someone's fibbing. Either way, you're clearly NOT an ex-footballer."
Iris smirked at him and looked him up and down.
"And as for paying attention to your fitness? - " Iris prodded the 'puppy fat' on his stomache,
" - I think not." She smiled sweetly at him, as if she'd completely, never ever poked his stomache and then looked back to the sweety lady.
