Teddy launched himself at his grandmother and purred at her instead. Very friendly lion. “What’s it called when you have a half-lion and half-eagle?”

“A griffin, I suppose?” Andromeda stroked his hair away from his pale heart-shaped face.

“What’s it called when you have a half-lion and half-person?” He leaned back to better see her.

“A sphinx?” What was with the questions?

“What about a half-lion and half-badger, Grammy? What’s that?”

“I don’t know, my love. I’ve never heard of such a thing.”
