"Wow," she said softly, before adding, "Well, I'm glad you like it here." She smiled. "If you need anything you know, to help you settle in, then please feel free to ask, and I'll do what I can to help."


She watched Caterina introduced herself to Herod, and heard more footsteps. Was that another new employee? Phew, it was busy in here today! "Hi there," she said with her usual warm manner. "I'm Alina Newtington, Head of this Division. Welcome to Patents." With that she gestured round the room. "And who might you be?"


Turning momentarily from her latest visitor, Alina smiled at Cate. "How about you take the desk next to Herod?" she said, "He's settled in pretty quick, and you can maybe work through some things together?" She looked thoughtful a moment, wrapping a curl round her finger.

"I'll just sort out my latest visitor, and then I'll give you a brief induction - you know, show you where things are and all that. Then we can find you some interesting Patents to look through." She smiled enthusiastically. "Oh, and then it'll be about breaktime, and we can go grab a coffee and meet some of the others from Level Seven. How does that sound?"
