Miles let his hands fall to his side as she removed hers and his stoic expression returned. He should have seen this coming. "No Fia..." he said seriously. "We don't have anything to work out. You do." Gathering every ounce of courage he had he walked toward the compartment door and put his hand on it. "I can't be just your friend anymore. You get all of me or none." Closing his eyes he pushed the door open, "I'll see you around," he said as he left and left the chocolate behind as well. It wasn't worth the broken heart to stay there anymore. She could have the stuff.
Fia's jaw dropped. Miles was being selfish. She was seeing a side of him she'd never seen before. If HE wanted THEM to be a COUPLE, THEY needed to work on things, mainly him keeping his lips to her or himself. If that's the way he wanted things to be then it really was over. According to that little statement, Miles was perfect and he had nothing to work on. Let's see what happens when the tables are turned.
Her tears dried up. That was it. Apparently she was the one with the problems and it was SHE that just had to DEAL with things. Whatever. She crossed her arms to her chest. She was not leaving this compartment again.
