Another year has begun again
Now my job can start
Sorting students left and right
Telling their minds apart

For that is where I can see
Where you must truly lie
Your thoughts, your hopes, your dreams, your fears,
They all lay deep inside

Where they will lead, I do not know

Though do not be afraid, young ones
Tis not a thing to dread

Will you end up in Gryffindor?

Many stories to be told

Or perhaps in humble Hufflepuff
Where loyalty is best
The place where all you follow
Is what’s inside your chest

Maybe Ravenclaw is your place
Where your head will lead the way
Armed with a knowledgeable mind
Great magic you will portray

And last is dear old Slytherin
Where cunning folk reside
Their fierce determination
And strong will shall get them by

So there you have it, once again
Another year to start
clear your mind and prepare
To let me into your heart
