Chapter One Hundred and Four
“I want to get up, lying here’s so boring”
“He said rest, so you’re going to rest”
“But-”
“You know how much you sound like your mum” Harry said jokingly,
Ginny looked at him angrily “Don’t you start with me Potter”
“Gin”
“Your being mean you can’t call me that” she pouted,
“Be sensible and let me look after you” he said smiling “You’re lying on the couch in the living room it’s not like I’m keeping you locked up in our bedroom without visitors”
“Hmm”
“You’ve got four months left, your going to have to get used to it” he grinned,
“What about training?”
“It’s sorted out; I’ve got a year to get to know our daughter before I go anywhere”
“You’re putting it off?”
“For a good reason, I’m going to be here and I’m not going to miss a thing”
“If you’re sure”
“Couldn’t be more” he grinned “Ron’s taking my place for this year”

“I’ll go with your mum”
“No!”
“Why not, your due in a month, she’s needs stuff and you can’t walk further then the kitchen and back”
“She’ll get nasty frilly stuff”
“I’ll go with Hermione”
“That’s better – take Keek’s and Amy as well”
“And all you’ll have for company is your mum?”
“She’s better off here then shopping with you”
“Fine”
“But why didn’t we go sooner?”
“We did, there are just some last things – the big things like a pram and cot - you’ve already picked out a wardrobe until she’s a teenager” he smiled,
“So I was a little over enthusiastic”
“I don’t blame you, I think it’s funny”
“Oi” She hit his arm,
“It won’t take long” he said leaning in to kiss her, “And I’ll let you see everything we see in the shop before we buy it ok?”
“You better” she grinned leaning to kiss him this time,
“Even if it annoys the hell out of me I’ll show you everything” he smirked and she hit his arm again before kissing him.
“Go on then”
He stood up “I’m going bossy boots”

‘I like that one’
‘Yep so do the others’
“She picked yet?” said Hermione smiling,
‘Yes’ – “Yes” he pointed “That one, we’re finished right” he breath a sigh of relief when they nodded,
“Good, because every time I space out to talk to her, the woman looks at me funny”
“You wanted to shop in diagon alley” they grinned “And with three girls” put it Kiki,
“What was I thinking?” he smirked “Let’s get it and go home”
They shrunk the boxes to fit in there bags and were on there way home when -
‘Harry… Hurry up’
‘Is she coming?’
‘Yes’ she got out before crying out in pain,
‘Is your mum there?’
‘Yes - Mungo’s – send a patronus to our healer and hurry up’
“We have to go!” he took out his wand sending the stag patronus charging down the middle of Diagon alley parting the crowds and disappearing on its way to the hospital,
“Is she –“
He nodded before Hermione could finish and apparated to the front door before the others could speak. He ran in but the commotion was not in the living room where he had left them.
“Gin” he called out,
“HARRY!” She yelled, he ran to the bathroom to see her sitting on the floor, Molly gave her hand to him as he replaced her at Ginny’s side.
“I’m here Gin”
“ARGH -” She cried out, “- YOU’RE SO GOING TO PAY FOR THIS POTTER!”
He couldn’t help but smile, “You can do anything you like to me I promise” He rubbed her back, watching the sweat glistening on her forehead,
“YOU’RE HAVING THE NEXT ONE!”
He chuckled, “Don’t think they’ve got that far with science Gin”
There was knocking at the front door –
“I’ll let him in” Molly said hurrying down,
“OWWWWWW -” She cried out, but Harry felt strangely calm, he had expected to be panicking and freaking out but he just held her hand and kissed her forehead as she leant against him,
“- THIS BETTER NOT TAKE ALL NIGHT!”
“It shouldn’t”
She squeezed his hand, “She’ll be alright won’t she?” she asked him, looking up as if begging him to tell her everything was going to be ok,
“She’s going to be perfect” he said with a smile “Like her mum”
She smiled briefly before it turned back to pain. The healer arrived at the door, took one wave of his wand and said
“Keep doing what your doing and you’ll be fine, at this rate she won’t take long to arrive -”
“OWWWWWWW! - ”

“And here she is” The healer cradled the crying baby wrapped in a blanket and handed her to a sobbing Ginny,
“She’s beautiful”
“Amazing” Harry smiled, staring at her, the tiny hands and fingers waving at him, the short mop of jet black hair and the little eyes looking them.
“Do we have a name?” The healer asked
“We don’t” Said Ginny,
“We never picked” Said Harry “What do you like?”He said both there sets of eyes still watching her,
“She’s not a Lily” Ginny mused, gazing at her “Or a Rose, she’s more… she’s – she’s … an Orchid?”
“Orchid” He said as if testing it out,
“Orchid Potter… is it weird?” She asked,
“I love it” he smiled “For the middle?”
“Are you thinking the same as me?”
“Minerva” he said and she nodded happily,
“Exactly”
“Welcome to the world Orchid Minerva Potter” Harry grinned, Ginny handed her too him watching them,
“She’s going to be a daddy’s girl” she smiled as Orchid stopped crying in his arms.
“She’s our girl” he smiled as she grasped his finger.

Hermione answered the door with a smile knowing it would be the only Weasley not there yet “Orchid?” Said Charlie,
“Just wait until you see her and then you’ll know it fits” Smiled Hermione leading him in from the front door. They walked into the packed room, the whole Weasley family there, along with the residents of the house and Willow, Kaleb, Nehelenia, Professor McGonagall, and Lupin, Tonks and now Teddy, the only thing was they were all talking in whispers.
She was sleeping in Harry’s arms,
“She wouldn’t be moved then” Grinned Charlie looking,
“They tried taking her to the cot, but she settles in his arms quicker”
He looked to his little sister, in pyjamas and dressing gown; she was sleeping next to him her head resting on his shoulder “Like Ginny?”
“Exactly” Hermione said with a smile.
He walked over closer,
“Your right” he whispered taking on look that turned into a stare “Definitely an Orchid”
“Glad you approve” smiled Ginny with a yawn, opening her eyes.
“We should put you both to bed - again” Said Harry with a grin, “And please don’t say your not tired cause I know your lying” he smirked and she giggled quietly,
“Having a baby on the bathroom floor can do that to you”
“Come on then” he smiled standing up, he gave Orchid to Charlie in a what looked like a smooth movement he’d been practicing because she didn’t even stir, and then helped Ginny up,
“The bathroom floor?” said Charlie incredulously, looking down at Orchid
“She was impatient” Ginny smiled
“Like her mother in that too” he chuckled and she smiled as he handed her back to her,
“Night” Yawned Ginny,
“Night” came the whole room in a whisper and Harry laughed quietly, leading them up the stairs.
They put her in the cot beside there bed, looking down at her,
“She’s more perfect then I expected” Ginny sighed contentedly,
Harry just smiled, squeezing her to his side; she turned to him and tiptoed up to kiss him.
He looked down at her “Thank you for giving us her Gin”
She smiled “We’re waiting a while before the next one”
“Whatever you want” he grinned leaning down to kiss her again,
“Love you” she smiled moving away to lie on the bed,
“Love you too” he smiled going to the door.
