"YOU HAVE NO ID -" Hermione Granger cut through, very furiously. She looked so angry, Crookshanks was sure she would throw something at the red-haired man. But she did not, and the cat was most disappointed. He could not take any more of these fights, and the red-haired man's devotion to the bad rat displeased him.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THAT -" Ron began, and then he yelped, because Crookshanks had stepped up to him, and sank his teeth into his shoes.

That should quell the boy's anger.
