James looked at the bottle he was holding in his hand and saw that she had spoken the truth. The lid hadn't been tampered with, so that meant it was safe to drink. At least, he thought so--he wasn't sure if you could still contaminate the water in some other way.

He popped open the cap, still giving the girl a rather nasty look, and he drank some of it, still looking around to see if anyone else had appeared out of thin air. He was going to catch them in their lie! But as the water went down his throat, he felt like all of his tension just melted away. A doopy grin slid onto his face and he loosened up, stretching out on the ground as he sat there.

No longer wanting to scream, he looked at some of the people surrounding him, grinning at them. "So, ok...what is REALLY going on?" he asked, a lot calmer than he had been a few minutes ago.
