Jordan HATED persuading women.
Annoyed, Rachel placed her broom between her legs and quickly took off her cloak, passing it to Jordan without a second look. It was old anyway, and had a few holes in it - she didn't really care what happened to it. As for her broom...
"Look, I argued with my uncle for hours before coming here and I'm not in the mood for some more banter," she commented as he finished what must have been a well rehearsed speech.
Too bad it worked. She knew a little about security but a lot about authority - and she respected it. Being a good girl when the situation needed it was high on Rachel's list, which was good for this Jordan guy.
"So, you're telling me you will stick a poor fellow here to guard this shed while the rest of us are at the game?" she asked with a slightly disapproving tone as she glanced around, almost expecting to see a sad, pitiful man with a dunce hat waiting for his punishment.
"Good," she nodded her approval, and gingerly handed him her broom, making sure that her engraved name was visible so that he would KNOW this wasn't just some broom to her.
