A look of horror and Miranda sat up too quickly. "Ow, my head..." she grimaced, putting a hand to her skull. Remembering the younger Huffie, she turned to her. "Are you allright?"
And then... "My HAIR!" She stared at it for a moment. It WAS her hair, but what good would it do now? "Eh," Miranda shrugged, "Keep it..." Why would Wesley want to keep THAT? Snort.
Quickly sucking in air, Wesley tentatively reached out the hand that was not holding anything towards Miranda, index finger pointed, ready to poke and see that she was still...alive. But it wasn't necessary, the older girl was moving slightly. Wesley pulled back quickly, watching wide-eyed.
Miranda was looking kind-of dazed. Though, Wesley reasoned, she'd be dazed if somebody fell on her too. Adding the middle and ring fingers to the index, the Hufflepuff was wondering if she should ask, 'how many fingers am I holding up?' when Miranda suddenly sat up.
In the following words uttered by the older girl, Wesley opened her mouth, then closed it, then opened it again, brain and tongue working to slowly to formulate answers before Miranda hurried onto the next comment or question.
"I'm so-" "I don-" "Sor-"
By the last comment, she was just staring horrified and open-mouthed.
"No I-," she paused, waiting for an interjection that did not arrive,
"really don't wa-errr-We can tape it! I have Spello-tape, and we can tape it back onto your head!" Wesley waved the hair wildly,
"It'll reattach!"
Wait. Could Spello-tape do that?
Of course it could. It was magic.
