Ferris watched with a creasing forehead as the girl still in his arms spoke, trying to persuade him that they would just be jumping into water, and that he didn't even have to do it, that she just wanted him to accompany him. He remained silent for a moment, his brown eyes hesitant as they gazed into those pleading, sparkling little blue ones that belonged to the person he knew best. "Fine," he finally said, letting out a sigh. "But Vi, if one thing goes wrong, we are never ever going anywhere near a cliff again."
