She could've tackled him, even if it meant ending up under another Bat-Bogey Hex. Wesley would've faced the humiliation of having everyone in the school witness flying bats made out of her snot, if it meant Dominic would still be alive. But it was too late. He was dead! And she hadn't done anything to stop it!
Distracted, she just barely heard the voice of someone asking her a question. Turning quickly, Wesley stumbled, her foot caught in the hem of Sarah's robe. The Hufflepuff waved her arms like some kind of bird, trying to regain balance, "WAHHHHH!"
Miranda had been simply staring at the girl, waiting for an answer. But she didn't seem to have heard her...or something, becuase the reply never came. Turning to the staff table, she tried craining her neck to see, but there wasn't much going on and Truebridge had already poofed outtahere and everyone seemed to just be totally and utterly confused.
And then, Miranda felt something hit her from above, slightly alike being tackled by a quidditch player.
"Uff!" Dooown she went with the unknown object following her path. When she hit the floor, a look of pure perplexness came over her features, and Miranda simply laid there wondering what the freckles had happened.
