YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Torn between wanting to listen to the rules and Professor Lupa, returning to his seat and wanting to stand up for his favorite professor, Dominic just stood there. Banishing spell? Really now? Especially when she called him a child, because whether she liked it or not, he was of wizarding age. Therefore, a legal adult.
But there was something between the Healer - who walked out but not before putting on an AWESOME display - Headmaster Kazimeriz - and of course Truebridge that kept his feet glued to the spot. WHAT?!? Professor Truebridge sacked in the interest of education welfare of the students? Merlin's beard; that was the biggest lie he'd ever heard. If it was in the interest of the students, Truebridge wouldn't have been sacked and Kazimeriz knew it.
Smiling at Professor Truebridge for a brief moment when he said he wished to say farewells to his former students, Dominic waited. And then Kettleburn joined the gathering, stating that they would be honored to escort him out. That was true; he would be honored to escort Truebridge from the castle. Except there was something Kazimeriz's tone and words that let the Head boy know otherwise... The way the ancient one smirked at him and Kettleburn.
And as predicted, no walking... and Dominic watched wide-eyed as his favorite professor and role model was man-handled from the Great Hall. Truly shocked, Dom looked at Kettleburn and then to Raiden and LouAnn, of who he just noticed had joined them at the dias to assist with walking Truebridge out. One from each house, he didn't fail to notice either. That was besides the point though; point was that his favorite professor had just been shown lack of respect and dignity that he deserved.
Something that Kettleburn let the new Headmaster know; and articulated his words PERFECTLY. "Well said," Dom murmured to the Ravenclaw seventh year, just before he walked back towards his own house table; because he so agreed. Turning to address Kazimeriz himself, because he could mostly; "Headmaster," Dominic began, trying to compose his words. "Before I return my seat until the close of the feast, I want to also express my disappointment in your treatment of Professor Truebridge. With all that he has done for the students and even for the other staff, it breaks me that you belittle him so, holding past grudges and bias against him. Like Mr Kettleburn, you can bet that I too will be writing to the Minister this summer about your new assumed position"
And just like his colleague, Dominic nodded once and turned to head back towards the table of gold and black. This feast needed to be over.
