She could tell that he was feeling a little tense when Shana came, and she put her hand on his gently for a mere second to tell him that she was okay. She wasn't going to be mean or anything.
And Tammy was here too. She smiled at her. She was glad that they were friends now. "You're apologizing Shana?" Brody's eyes widened at her, and she actually held onto Fyo's hand this time. "That was eer...unexpected." He smiled when she hugged him though it didn't last as long as he had wanted it to. But she put her hand on his for a second and that was nice too. Everything was going okay if Shana was apologizing to Brody. Shana wasn't the best at apologies as he would know and this was pretty big for her.

Exactly. So, she scanned the tables and easily spotted the amazing Tammy. "TAMMY!!" she yelled, and she ran to her, and plopped down into a seat next to her. Tammy, Reese, Brody, Jack ... WHAT? "No Shana?" Fyo demanded, crossing his arms against his chest. "No wayyy!"
Fyo chuckled. "I seriously mean that," he told her, as he took a bite of food. "My mum would totally whack my head with a big, frying pan and then tell me to go water the plants, or something."
Then he raised an eyebrow. "What," he asked. "Do you mean by that?" Bad Brody. BAD!
"Shanster, Shanster, Shanster," Fyo chanted. Then Shana spoke up again, actually apologized to Brody - in a whisper alright, but it was an APOLOGY - and he beamed at her. Brody was holding his hand now, and it felt ... SO perfect. Were they actually going to be friends, all of them?
"This is such a fairytale ending," he laughed suddenly. "I love you guys. All of you." Tammy, too. Rawwwrrr!
Fyo looked up ... and, of course, saw Tammy. "TammyBearie!" He said, with a wave. "Please doooo."
Then things turned sour.
Up at the Staff table, seemed to rage a battle of many private wills - and now it seemed like Nurse Avalon was ready to leave, too. The fork paused on its way to Fyo's mouth, and he looked over it at Shana, Brody, Torin and Tammy. "Professor Kazi!Man's insane," he said. "This is scandalous."
"Tomorrow will be today, today will be yesterday, and yesterday will be the day before yesterday." Or whatever... He wasn't sure why he was even saying all this in the first place.
"Shana can't come. I had invited her. But she will still be seeing me and Tammy later, so it's all good." He wasn't leaving Shana out of anything. |
