♥My Very 1st Tag | ~Filofax:Forever~ | ~Evil Slythie~ | Chris' Caretaker♥ "Thanks." Frida replied and headed off up the field some more to find the place where she would set up camp.
Soon enough she found a good spot; not too close to others, and not that far away. 'No magic.' Frida reminded herself and dropped her bag on the ground as she inspected the soil beneath her feet with a good stomp. 'Seems dry enough...it's never good to make camp on wet soil.'
Feeling suddenly like an expert, Frida emptied her tent onto the grass again and got to work. Though there were no more than five poles; two for each upside-down 'V' shape on either side, and one to support the top, it was taking Frida a while to understand how easy things really could be. 'It shouldn't be that way should it? I thought it would need more support...dad told me it was rather roomy, so why wouldn't there be more to it?' She connected all the poles and set them standing up on the ground so that the tent's framework was in place. 'There has to be instructions somewhere.'
Frida rummaged in her bag for a while but found no instructions, written or printed off anywhere. "Great. Then that's it huh?" She picked up the tent's cover that was made of the soft material and secured it to the framework with a few ties that had been provided with the rest of the items. 'Just need to get everything held down now.' And with four stakes set in place to hold the tent steady, Frida's job was done. 'Not bad for pitching a tent the first time.' She thought encouragingly to herself and took a peek inside.
Indeed, just as her father had told her, the tent was much, much roomier than it appeared to be. "Won't be so bad after all." Frida whispered to herself as she put away a couple extra ties and stakes and headed into her temporary housing.
