"If you are really to dismiss Professor Truebridge, then by Magical decree you are to do so AFTER the term. And as a term still includes the end of term feast, Professor Truebridge is more than entitled to be present at the feast for which he was employed during. Besides, regardless of that fact, he is still entitled to be here, if nothing more than as my guest." He nodded to the ancient one, as if daring him to challenge his statements. Because if Truebridge had to leave, then he would just walk out too. He had no reason to stay.
