" You'd be immune because...well I don't know. An anomaly of nature? " He offered, shrugging when he stood up again. He splashed some water around as she spoke and he nodded. " It really is. I think they were both just really busy." He said, shrugging again. " So tell me what you're doing for the summer. Avoiding Riley at all costs is a given, so you can't say that." he said, chuckling lightly at her. Adrienne huffed as it didn't seem Phoebus was sorry for insulting her in the slightest, but also struggled not to laugh at how matter-of-fact he was being. When it was all just kind of a normal stupid thing with them. "Four inches is tiny. I mean, it's not like you're a foot taller than me or anything. Or even more." Like Torin was, and yet her Huffie friend never had called her short. But then she had to admit he probably had only ever seen her in her heels, and in some cases her higher heels. Like that time in Hogsmeade, when he'd found out she could read his mind. Smiling at her thoughts, it took her a second to get back to the matter at hand, but as she heard Phoebus laughing, she did. Narrowing her eyes playfully, she threw herself at him in a tackle, knocking him back into the water. Nobody laughed at her.
Back to laughing as she stood back up, she looked at him as he tried to come up with a reason why she wasn't crazy. "You do know that kind of would mean you're calling me a freak," she pointed out calmly, figuring he wasn't likely to want to get attacked again. Even if it was sort of playful. And then he talked about Riley and Chloe again and she laughed at his shrug. "So busy they didn't even make time for classes? Or are you saying they were there and we just didn't see them?," she asked, before he changed the subject again. Breaking into giggles, she gave him an incredulous look. "You're really asking me that? I mean, I'm not really doing anything different this summer than every other summer. Hanging around the house, then going to Grandmother's in France in like July." And that brief trip to Australia to see Raven. "And of course I'd avoid my brother at all costs. I mean, that just guarantees me keeping my sanity," she replied, before giggling again. It really had been a stupid question, coming from someone who'd known her and Riley for ages.
