Rafe gave Marilyn a tight hug. "I just want you to be happy and I'm sure Carter can give you all the happiness in the world." Rafe took a small step backwards to look her in the eyes. "You're one of my best of friends too," Rafe took in a deep breath. "I wonder if I mums ever got together, I told her about your family, I know my mum was looking for a social circle to become a part of," Rafe shrugged, "I guess we'll find out over the summer."

Rafe smiled as she touched his cheek, it was so warm and comforting. "Don't worry about me, I just can't bring myself to date someone when my heart belongs to someone else." Rafe forced a smile and gave a little laugh. "We'll have to try and get together over the summer. You can look me up in Spinner's end!" Rafe said cheerfully, trying not to make things awkward. It was like they were renewed friends all over again.
