After he'd terrorized Issy some more, he shrugged at her questioning. " I'm not sure. End of term madness?" he said and then he eyed her." I think you look too...dry." Thenhe pounced, grabbing her up in his arms again and dunking them both in the water, conveniently close to Issy so maximum splashing might occur.
Leaning out of the way as Phoebus shook his hair out like his dog, Adrienne laughed. "So not only are you a cheating shark, but you apparently have some canine tendencies too," she teased as she came back to a standing position. "Am I going to develop pygmy puff tendencies after owning them for a while?" She grinned as he tried to say she was more evil for living with Riley, then looked at him with eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, even more so. If you factor in the fact I've lived with him since before I was even born." Not that she'd really tell Riley how much he'd influenced her. And she was pretty sure it wasn't genetic anyway. "But I think your cheating is at least equal with mine."

Then he was responding to her query about his splashing Issy, and she raised an eyebrow again. "Then why am I not suffering from the same afflict . . .," she started to ask, faint laughter in her tone, before her wrods trailed off into another squeal as he pounced again. "Not anymore," she said in response to his last comment, coming back to the surface with a laugh as she combed a wet hand through her wet hair, not even noticing how he'd placed them so his attack on her also had splashed Issy again. At this rate she had no idea how messy it was going to be once it dried.
