It was of ... no use. The little flames that were the result of an unwilling mind could only keep the Devil's Snare at bay for a few seconds. Fyo gasped - *gasp* - as the plant struck out once more and, this time, it was more successful than it had been, last time. It wrapped itself around his ankles - yes, BOTH ankles - wrapped itself hard..
... and before he knew it, the plant had given a mighty pull.
Fyo lost his balance and almost fell, courtesy the not-so-nice actions of the not-so-nice plant and, even as he struggled to his feet, the Devil's Snare had begun to crawl over his jeans, and give him another tug. "Incendio!" Fyo cried and, this time, the need to be quick - no, it was NOT desperation, merely the realization that he had to be ... faster than usual, riiight now - helped him produce a good, sizable flame. The Devil's Snare let go at once, he panted a bit, and then repeated the spell.
"You're a naughty plant, and I'm going to call you Kazi!Snare from now on," the fourth year mumbled, as he brandished his wand at the tendrils.
Be scared, plantie-wantie! Be VERY scared.
