Atypical Ravenclaw Bookworm // Hair Flipper Pro / / the edgy starbuckian // Hot Messie WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!! Mina's head bounced up. Stupid inner voice again. Wait, what was she doing before? Why was she thinking about eggs? Eggs? She looked back at the ingredients in front of her. What was she doing again?
Blinking over and over, she thought really hard. Something about eggs and cold flashes, clamminess, fevers....ASHWINDER EGGS! Yes, that's what she needed. She remembered it! Grabbing two, she added them to the mix, whole. Slowly, she was remembering bites and pieces.
Symptoms, what were her symptoms again? Pulling out her parchment, she wrote everything down. Ashwinder eggs for the fever/cold flashes. Runespoor eggs for the sneezing. Ginger root for the haziness in the mind. Come one what else? She was still sleepy, she wanted to lay down again....Sleep...wait, sleepiness?
Reaching over, she grab a sprig of peppermint. That sounded right, peppermint was something she could use. Tossing it in as well, she continued to stir her cauldron, lowering the heat. She was getting closer to the antidote, wasn't she? She never had that much trouble before, so why now? It was making her sad now, why was it so hard for her today? Why?
Sniffling a bit, she looked at the ingredients spread out before her again. Pull yourself together, just finish it up! Now the voices were getting mean. She didn't like that at all. She needed them to be silence so she would work again. She needed to think, yes think about why she was sad all of a sudden and why she wasn't remembering things completely.
.....sadness...emotions...wait, yes stone....moonstone and hellebore! She was slowly remembering again. Adding both next, she glanced inside her cauldron. It looked correct, didn't it? The color wasn't alarming and what she could remember of all the potions she knew, her senses didn't send off red flags. But she still felt she needed something else. Why couldn't she just remember! Why was she being so forgetful? Forgetful? She blinked and got an idea. Jobberknoll feathers! That just might be what she needed. Added them, she watched as it simmered. She waited and yawned, as she wrote everything down. This better work! |
