Tilting his head to the side in a completely adorable manner he scrunched up his nose as he thought about what she said about law and acting. "I guess it is. Maybe that's why I'm so drawn to it. I can still do what I love while pursuing a new passion of mine." Not that it really mattered since he wasn't even sure he'd be able to get into law.

"Thanks," he said smiling softly as he ran his fingers through her hair. It was nice that they were comfortable together once more. Things were way awkward at first and he was glad things were mostly back to normal, at least where just the two of them were concerned.

"What do you want to do?" Reid questioned, noticing but deciding not to comment on the look on her face when the word children was mentioned. Seriously he didn't expect her to have children or if she did to stay home all the time and look after them. Plus it was waaaaayyyyyyyyy too early to get into that discussion. They were both still teenagers and he only mentioned it because it formed a part of his reason for wanting a more stable job then acting. Normally he'd ask about children and stuff, well he thought that he'd normally ask about them, before he proposed, which again wouldn't happen too soon. Probably not for a few years.

"I'd go with encouraged and I wouldn't stake that on my father. He's pretty elitist actually. Thinks blood is the absolute most important thing. Half-blood is acceptable but still distasteful. Muggle-born is completely unacceptable to him. Even if he got to know you and thought you had a great personality he would still refuse on the grounds that you aren't... Well yea, my mum doesn't hold to those beliefs. She's more romantic and believes in the whole love conquers all idea." Reid shrugged in a resigned manner. He knew that his mum would eventually meet Rachel but he wasn't holding his breath that his father would be the same. If he was that would be excellent but if he didn't then that would be expected.

"I know." noticing that Rachel seemed to be tired he readjusted himself slightly, making his position more comfortable for a sustained period of time. Hopefully not making her uncomfortable in the process. "If you want to sleep for awhile I'm happy to be your pillow." he offered nonchalantly. If she slept it wouldn't matter really since he could still be spending time near her and just enjoying being in her presence.
