Sometimes it was nice to be alone. This was especially so when you were the youngest and all your siblings were boys of varying degrees of loud, crude and rude. She didn’t mind it most of the time and really she was often in the thick of it but lately she was feeling more and more aware that she was different from them. Not in that whole ‘different bits’ way, but more like she expected something else, something more, and they were just happy being Weasleys.

She wouldn’t be. The only way she’d always be just another Weasley would be if she never got married. As far as Ginny was concerned, the only way she’d never get married would be if something bad happened to him. It wouldn’t. Right? Nothing bad could happen because… well because… because she didn’t want it to. Nobody did. Everyone she knew would sacrifice themselves for him. Her parents, all of her brothers except Percy…

The thought of losing them all and being left a spinster with only Percy for company made her cry. She honked loudly and quite embarrassed by how loud it was, she cast Silencio on herself so that nobody would hear.
