I mean, studying over here." That was... bad, to say the least. He hadn't meant to say that, per se, but it was a little easier off the tongue than, 'I'm in love with your girlfriend.' Especially considering he was currently convincing himself that it wasn't true.

Then he brushed his hand through his hair, smirking as he averted eye contact. "Yeah, well, I was away for awhile and intended to study, but it never happened. I'll cram or something," he finally added, though he meant he'd find some way to cheat. He nodded. "I'm going to take over the world, actually," he joked, but what Torin wouldn't know was that he wasn't joking. He fully intended on taking over the world. "So, a bakery?" he inquired, trying to keep some sort of conversation, just so that he could manage to get out of here in a less awkward fashion than he entered.
