Why hadn't she known this earlier? Eh, she was slow.
She tried her best to not let her facial expression show how much it effected her as to where they were standing right now. "That's good," she simply replied back to her brother, and then she looked back at him. "Jake, I'm going to let you know this. I'm not mad about you living with a foster mom. I can never be mad about something like that. Upset, yes, but never mad. And, I want you to do what you think is best, and if you think living with a foster parent, then I'll support that decision." She paused, and then quickly added, "I do love you, Jake. You'll always be my little brother, even though we do fight at times." A little smile formed on her face as she thought back to times were her and Jakers didn't get along AT ALL.
"We will," she stated. "I promise."
Had Jake been watching Reese properly, he might have noticed a slight change in the girl's expression... some kind of sudden realisation hitting her. But he wasn't... so he didn't. He didn't look up at Reese until the girl started speaking again, when she mentioned the foster mother thing.
Nodding silently, Jake kicked at the floor, causing miniature puffs of dust to float up briefly into the air. "It's ttthhe ruh-right thhhing fuh-fer me," he nodded looking up again, feeling bad about making Reese upset to any degree.
But he was definitely holding her to that promise.
But for now... "Whhhh-whhy are yyyyou going to Guhh-greece?"
Innocent enough question...
