She should have spent more time with her brother - she really should have. "Maybe after I get back from Greece, you and me can go out for a day? Just you and me," she suggested. "We need some sisterly and brotherly time, don't you think?"

"'M fine," Jake looked away quickly, realising that maybe he hadn't hidden his expression as well as he'd thought. But REALLY! No adult supervision. NONE!

Not like Jake could talk. But Reese wasn't Jake. She was Jake's sister. And that meant Jake would have to talk to Jack about this.

The boy watched as Reese seemed to consider things, and he tilted his own head. For some reason, he wanted Reese to understand that this was what was best for everyone. Yeah, he probably wouldn't get to see Dale again... not that much if at all... but... the attention. "We dddddo get along," he nodded, eyes begging Reese to understand that.

He nodded when his sister spoke, not really commenting... not wanting to point the finger at anyone or badmouth anyone at all.

"We ssshhhould do that," he answered quietly, and added silently. As long as I'm not, like, grounded or anything.

Well, he HAD got up to mischief that year.
