In a moment, we'll be approaching the tree, one at a time, to offer it the lovely gift of mooncalf dung your oh-so-thoughtful Professor Morgan helped you collect."
She even managed to say that without a hint of sarcasm coloring her tone. Takes practice, children, remember that.
"But first, a bit of background about the tree would be useful......" Anastasia turned and gave Ethan something of a look.
LouAnn somehow managed to come to a stop a safe distance away from the
whomping part of the willow tree. She didn't want to be flattened when one of its
animated branches came smacking down to the ground. "
Can't we just throw the jar at the tree?" she thought to herself. Of course they couldn't. They had to approach the tree carefully and cautiously. LouAnn remembered how Professor Bunbury had stressed this during that last Herbology lesson. Apparently someone amongst them had previously tortured the poor tree.
"I hear Ron Weasley and Harry Potter once drove a car into the tree!" she suggested, her hand raised and waving wildly about. "The tree spit them out like a piece of old gum! It even tossed their luggage out once it had gotten rid of the boys. Oh, and that car is still cruising about, deep within the Forbidden Forest." She lowered her hand before speaking again. "That's a little background on the tree. Moral of the story? Umm...don't fly a car to school?"
