"Maybe you should check on her personally. She looks like she might want your company."
Giving him a meek little smile and turning to him. "You probably should go back over there. I'm fine now and I have a funny feeling, I've caused enough trouble as is." She was feeling a bit funny and she didn't think being near him was helping. Pulling out her compact, she looked at herself and frowned. Blood never really looks good dried on to one's face. Quote:

He levitated a basket filled with small clear tubes with corks down the aisles. Inside the tubes was a measure of clear liquid. "I ask that each of you take a phial of potion from the basket. Drink it only if you have taken a love potion. Those of you who have not yet had the opportunity to use your potion may stay after class if you still wish to sample your results, and may take this antidote after you have done so." Kazimeriz smirked a little. "Be warned, the antidote is very, very bitter... For the loss of love, even manufactured love, is always a bitter, even painful experience."
He began to pace a little as he spoke. "From the grumbling I have heard, I suspect that many of you are displeased with this little... opportunity... I have provided to experience love potion first hand. I want you all to understand why this opportunity was provided to you. Love potion is, without a doubt, among the most dangerous of potions-- as you have experienced today, it robs you of reason and causes impetuous, reckless behavior, even causing some to be moved to dueling... and often, dueling to the death is not unheard of over that most dangerous of emotions, love ."
"In spite of the dangers of love potion, it is an uncontrolled potion -- easy to obtain and simple to administer. Witches and wizards who have not personally gone through the pain and suffering that manufactured love brings often unblinkingly will use this potion on the unsuspecting object of their affection, and the result is rarely good. It is liquid betrayal and ends up hurting both the administrator and the consumer most times it is used, and so I caution you to think before you reach for it in pursuit of your true love."
"So, if it is so dangerous, why did I ask my class to take it? I prefer that my students be exposed to this potion in a controlled classroom setting, with a partner they are not already emotionally invested in, so you can feel the effects first hand -- and will be moved never to use it. I hope you will also learn to be vigilant -- wizards and witches alike -- in any setting in which someone might slip a love potion into your food or drink, and most of all to recognize the symptoms of a love potion's influence. Most of you probably experienced a strong surge of emotion that seemed without rational basis, and you may have also noticed a vague, momentary tingling sensation and a bit of warmth in your cheeks. You may have ascribed these feelings to being close to the object of your affection. Be alert! When these symptoms appear and you seem to have an unnatural , obsessive interest in someone who historically has not been interesting to you romantically, you may be the victim of love potion."
Kazimeriz continued pacing. "For those of you who have now experienced this insidious potion first hand... Knowing how it feels to consume love potion, would you ever use it on a love, a friend or a foe? Why or why not? When is its use acceptable to you? It is a complex ethical question, and I would like to hear your opinions on the matter." Marilyn didn't even look in Carter's direction as he asked her the question. "Im fine, please just stay away..." She needed to get her thoughts together and calm herself down. What was she feeling? Confusion...Yes, she could understand that...but sadness and distress...it made no sense. Was it because she had already liked Carter before this potions business? She'd thought he was attractive, yes...And fun to be around. But did she like him like that? What a wonderful question...
When she heard the professor tell them to retrieve the proper antidote, Marilyn rushed towards the basket. She didn't like the way her emotions were all over the place. Not to mention the way her body was trembling like she was experiencing withdraws.
"Professor, before this lesson even happened, I considered Love Potions a form of drinkable dark arts. The use of them by anyone is despicable and desperate. Id never put anyone through this embarrassment." Well, maybe someone who really upset me...but that's another story."
