Sooooooooooooooo, Miranda had, so far, been doing great working alone. She was partnerless (pun intended) and making a LOVE POTION.
URgh. She sighed as she watched the crushed fluxweed float around in the water inside the cauldron. Miranda jawned small as she waited for the water to boil, looking around as the people bustled and hustled to get their ingredients in.
After adding the Lovage pollen, she stirred the liquid and waited for the water to turn golden. Miranda had never particulary enjoyed potions, she wasn't a good cook. Well, besides making awesome waffles.
Hehe. A moment passed and after noticing the water had indeed turned gold-ish, she grinned.
Yay! So far so good!
Tracing her finger down the recipie in her notebook, Miranda found that she had to stir some more.
Allright. Taking the spoony thingy, she stirred, first clockwise and then counterclockwise. And again and again and etCERRta. As the cauldron was put to boil again, she watched the ripples of the liquid going all...ripply. Wait, how much time had passed !?
Grimacing in panic, she minimized the fire under the cauldron and wondered if she had totally messed it up now. With big round eyes, she waited, biting her thumb nail.
"Blergh!" It TASTED FUNNY! Probably mashed something with that nail. Anywho... Well nothing happened... Should something happen. A little panicky, Miranda turned to see what the others were doing, well she couldn't SEE throught the CAULDRON.
No matter, que sera sera, right? Yes. So. Now. For. The. bloodroots. Creepy name but she picked it up and began to try and...peel the thing. Were you supposed to peel it? Or maybe you should like take a spoon and spoon the fleshy stuff out.
Errr... Just peel the stuff.
What does it say...? Oh, ofcourse, how silly of her.
Snort. So cutting lenghtwise and scraping the content. Done.
Finally adding the bloody named thingy, she looked back into her notebook.
"Eight ounces of Apple ciderrrrrr...shloooop!" he mumbled and made a sound effect to go with the pouring of the liquid.
And theeeeen some of that...LIONFISH HEART?! Oh eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.
Miranda grimaced quite horrified by the thought of a heart. Oh oh oh, she had not noticed it was actually a heart when she went to get the ingredients. Gah! Well it was minced... Seeing the thing lying there, she scooped it up and lifted it up like a crane. Wrinkled nose and all, she sprinkled it into the cauldron.
Shudder.
Placing the cauldron into lots of heat again, she made it simmer for a while and sighed in relief at how the potion was actually getting that pink and purple-ish sheen to it.
Now she had to add the griffin dandruff.
DannnnndrUFFF! Dananana dadruff, the ruff in the dan and the dan in the ruff! She shook her head as if listening to a rock'n'roll song and let the ingredient mix together with the liquid.
And noooooooooooooooooow, she had to let it simmer, like it says there on the instructionsss.
Rama-lama-ding-dong!
