Kazimeriz returned to the room, looking drained, pale, exhausted, and every one of his 104 years. The ancient man shuffled back over to his desk.

He smiled weakly at the girl.
"On any other day, I would be eager to share my experiences with you. It is a rare thing when a student actually takes the opportunity to learn from the past of her elders, and I would be more than happy to regale you with stories of my history, which I assure you is dramatic and fascinating indeed. However, it is regrettably not the time nor place... I wish to do the stories justice, but first I am afraid serious business needs to be resolved here with young Miss Purple."
He turned to Purple, then paused and smiled a little at the curious girl.
"But in answer to your last question, yes, I was an auror. A recipient of the Order of Merlin, in fact." He tipped her a small wink, then turned his attention back to Purple, his expression once again stern.
"Before we were so regrettably interrupted, you were about to share your own story with us, Miss Purple, at least as it relates to Jacob Upstead and a certain tale of murder. Leave nothing out." He glowered at her as he spoke, as though he might Avada Kedavra her if she did not comply.
