"You seem also to be greatly affected by all this, too. Clearly, this must've been a very vivid dream." He said, unable to hide a certain semi-unconvinced tone as he uttered the word 'dream'. "Tell me, Jake. Did this dream seem so real to you that you told others only to have it all be misconstrued?" He asked, trying to piece the fragmented, unsequential bits of the story together.
Kapoor was sounding doubtful.
Not good.
BACKTRAAAAAAAAAACK!
"I..." Jake bit on his lip, fiddling with the handkerchief and jiggling his foot up and down, breathing quickening in his anxiety. "I told Mmmmyrtle... she wanted to know whhyyy I h-hadn't suhhh-seen her and I t-told her ab-about how I blacked out alot-" Had he told Kapoor about that? Oops. "And she mmmmmentioned a secret chamber f-from ages ago... and th-this girl who k-killed roosters. And... I told her ab-about the dream, be-be-because she's mmmmy friend. I jjjust told HER, but she told ev-everyone. And then I told Kazi... and they t-t-twisted it..."
Realising he had said way way wayyyyyy too much, and he stood abruptly, tears spilling out of his eyes some more. "Juhhh-juh-just a d-d-dream... I should..." he held the handkerchief out to the man, his eyes wild and still producing more tears. "I'm ssssorry. I sh-should go. Wasting y-your t-t-time..."
Yes, Jake. Enough of the insane rambling.
