"Lena, what's the matter?" Chris asked as he moved his hand from her cheek down to take her hand into his own.
Lena chuckled.
I thought someone would, and I'm very glad to find out that it was you. She smiled. At his question, though, she merely shrugged, though it was very odd.
I didn't know if I could, she admitted,
But I was wondering about it for awhile. It does take a bit of effort, she said with a small sigh, leaning on the table slightly, but still fighting to keep her concentration. Of course, she didn't want Chris to see that.... when he asked her what was wrong, however, Lena immediately sad up, her eyes widening as her concentration was lost and her eyes became dark brown with worry -- what had she done to seem like something was wrong besides her.... oh.
Nothing - I'm fine, she assured him, not quite smiling anymore, but not frowning either; she didn't want him to know the exact meaning behind that color, but he obviously guessed.
