Professor Valon Kazimeriz stormed into the room, his silver-tipped obsidian cane clanging angrily against the stone dungeon floors.

"Enough idle chitter chatter-- you are pupils, not howler monkeys." he sneered at the students, his dark eyes scanning the room as he approached the lectern. He eyed the row of bubbling, steaming cauldrons lined up on the workstation at the front of the room warily, then turned his attention back to the students.

"So. Love potions." he said with obvious disdain. "Easily among the most dangerous potions in existence, and certainly a classification of potions that any competent witch or wizard should know not only how to brew, but how to combat. Before we begin, I would like to assess your knowledge of love potions."

"For two points, please share one fact about love potions with the class." He waited for the students to respond, leaning against the lectern as though bored... But his eyes were sharp, watching the students like a hawk.
