As she felt someone touch her arm, Mariel turned from the quiet Gryffindor boy to see yet another, more familiar, Gryffindor at her side.
"Oh! Hey..." she greeted Nathaniel with some surprise having failed to notice his appearance until that very moment.
"So... sending a letter?" the fourth year asked, fairly certain that he had opted not to bring his owl with him this term. What was his name again? That, the 15 year old did not remember.
"I'd let you use Pandora," she offered,
"but I just sent her off with a letter for my father." Mariel glanced behind her in the direction her owl had just left. Nathaniel would have to be satisfied with one of the school owls, though reliable, they were a bit slow.
