Sticking her hand out, she took his and shook it, the smile never leaving her face. "Deal made. We dethrone Slytherin or else," she said with feigned seriousness, before an eyebrow raised again at his words on Quidditch. "You really think you can take me on?" Not that she had ever really gotten competitive, with friends. But she also knew Willow wasn't stupid, and if she'd put her as a beater, there was reason behind it. "And I'd just like to point out I've never broken my nose while playing," she added with another grin. He wanted to be competitve, she could play along.
"Well, your presence is entertaining when I can find ways to play with you," she drawled with a mischievous smile as he teased her about being bored. In fact, it wasn't so much boredom as a feeling that something she couldn't control was going on, and she was being dragged into it on her own without any allies. But then he was offering an explanation for his lack of shirts, and she tilted her head again appraisingly. "And what exactly did you do to make Lucille have problems with her? I mean, why was she going to go to Brody about anything?" As far as she remembered, that whole Hufflepuff relationship had kinda imploded after the deathday party she'd been at, so she didn't know why anyone would bother to get in the middle of the splinters. "I might be able to help you out, though. With shirts, not Lucille." As long as he didn't mind borrowing the few shirts of Christopher's that she'd absconded with when she'd left for school. He smiled as they shook hands. That was Adrienne. Only she would be willing to take part in something like this. She would be fun to take on when it came down to it. But Hufflepuff would so beat Ravenclaw. "Yes, just make sure that Reese doesn't find out about this, right?" She wouldn't like hearing that he had set up to overthrow her House. Even if this was all just in good fun and nothing really serious. "I can take you on. And I don't usually break my nose playing Quidditch." Though there was still a pretty big part of himself that wanted to have a few words with the boy that had been responsible. He still remembered what he looked like. Oh yes, he wanted an apology.
He gave her an eye roll before having to launch into an explanation for the total lack of shirts on his part. "Well, she has had it in for me ever since I didn't give Warren CPR. This other girl did it instead and she started flipping out." He still didn't get it seeing as the girl had saved the boy. "Ever since then she's been weird. Wanting my shirts and all. And I have no idea why she would go to Brody about it all, but she still threatened to. And well.. things are going pretty badly between us right now." That was a pretty big understatement, but he didn't really want to go into detail about the whole Kyle thing and he wasn't sure if Ad even knew that he had been the one that found the first body. But that was brought out of his attention at the mention of shirts. "Whose are they?" Hopefully they would fit. Jack's hadn't really worked out for him. |
