Then it would only be a matter of ensuring that they beat Ravenclaw then. And the Ravenclaws were said to be a rather smart bunch.
He couldn't help but notice that her outfit was a lot better this time. Adrienne had gotten so into her contemplation of the house points that it could almost have been called a trance. And someone could have set a bomb off by her and it probably wouldn't have gotten her attention, if not for the fact she would have been livid if her boots had gotten destroyed. In any case, she didn't notice anyone approaching her, and stopping to join her in her perusal of the gemstones and their movements, until Torin spoke. Blinking, she turned to look at him for a second, before arching an eyebrow. "We? Is this turning into some sort of tag team situation, houses allying to defeat a common foe?," she said facetiously, before returning her attention to the hourglasses. She knew for a fact that if the Ravenclaws didn't claw their way back up to the top, Vindictus would find a myriad of ways to torture them, and she really didn't want to deal with that.
Not along with her own internal struggles of late, and simply to amuse herself, and distract her mind from the arguing that was starting over in the silence after she had spoken, she found herself stretching a tendril of thought toward Torin. Glancing back at him, she grinned. You're learning, grasshopper, she thought toward him teasingly, knowing if she actually said anything, he might spaz out again. But as far as she knew he wouldn't be able to know her thoughts. That would be extraordinarily weird.
