Lucy looked at Kat, and then back at Rafe. And then she turned back to Kat to answer her question.
"Did I give him...what?"Lucy said playing dumb. She didn't really want to tell anyone what she had donw--well, not yet anyways.
She kind of ignored Kat's inquiry about her and Rafe and instead turned to Kat's other comment.
"OOh, a prank?! What is it? Tell me!" Lucy said excitedly, desperate for anything to get off the subject of Rafe. She squeexed Rafe hand, wondering what she was doing to herself.
"You know what" Kat said a little louder than expected. She was frustrated that her best friend wouldn't tell her what was going on even though she knew what it was. She cleared her throat and turned back to Lucy and said
"You know i'm your best friend and i'm going to tell you exactly what's on my mind... So here goes." Kat took a deep breathe and pulled Lucy away from Rafe.
"Excuse us" she said to Rafe and walked away from the couch to the other side of the common room.
"You're only hurting yourself how do you know that when this wears off he is still going to act this way towards you?" She really hated what she said but she was always truthful to Lucy.
"You're my best friend i'm only looking out for you" She said to her.
"Now if you still want to know about my prank i'll be more than happy to tell you"
