Meeting Old Friends And Flames...

As soon as Sara entered the huge white tent she was completely gob smacked. She had no idea before as to what was inside the tent. Only the head girl and the prefects knew about it. There within the white tent was complete set up of plain green meadow with no snow at all. There were many white delicate round tables set up with chairs around it on each table was a beautiful candle stand for six candles. The poles holding the tent had beautiful spring flower creepers on it. Surely it was magic. At the far end facing the entrance was pedestal and behind it was a white curtain of sorts. There were already people inside the tent seated every where.
“Sara?”
“huh…yeah?”
“you alright?” asked Dean
“oh yes I am, just stunned by the way this has been set up,” she said her eyes taking in every detail of the interior of the tent.
“you didn’t know about this?” asked Dean and Sara shook her head “only the teachers, head girl and the prefects working for this knew about it. We were mere volunteers.” She happened to look up when she saw flags of all the nations of the world where there was a magical settlement along with what looked like school flags too. She saw Hogwarts school flag just above the pedestal. Above the flags she could see clear sky just as it was in the Great Hall. She loved it.
“Dean! There you are man,” called out a voice and Dean looked around and saw his close buddy Seamus Finnegan standing there.
“Seamus! How are you doing?” said Dean and hugged him.
“hello Dean,” said another girly voice and Dean froze, his mind racing “if she is here, then her friend ought to be here,” he thought. He looked at Lavender and smiled
“hello Lavender” but Dean’s eyes were searching someone else
“looking for someone?” asked Lavender teasingly but Dean didn’t care about it.
“she hasn’t come. She won’t be coming for the Ball,” said Lavender and Dean sighed. Lavender turned around and saw Sara standing there and she had a questioning look on her face. Dean looked at Sara and then Lavender and then realized he hadn’t introduced Sara to his friends
“Seamus, Lavender this is Sara. She is a foreign student studying here in Hogwarts for her final year,”
“Hello, Lavender, Seamus,” said Sara with a smile
“nice meeting you Sara,” said Seamus over enthusiastically shaking her hand which he stopped when Lavender shot daggers at him. Sara just gave a small smile.
“um…excuse me,” said Sara looking at Dean and left. She found Derek along with Fiona, Jimmy and Ritchie and their dates joining them just few seconds back. She walked up to them.
“hello, people,” said Sara and Derek who’s back was facing Sara turned was stunned looking at her.
“oh Sara, good you came,” said Jimmy’s date
“I told you, didn’t I?” said Fiona coming and hugging Sara, “well not much of difference from the time I left you except that you are wearing your heels” whispered Fiona in her ears.
“I thought of giving make up a skip,” said Sara facing Fiona
“and you do look beautiful without it,” complimented Ritchie’s date who happened to hear it and Sara smiled.
“so who is your date?” asked Ritchie. But before Sara could answer Fiona did for her.
“Dean Thomas, isn’t it?” Fiona asked
“what!” both the beaters dates screamed and that caused people to look at them.
“shsh…girls. Its no big deal,” said Jimmy in hushed tones
“no big deal! Having the current Puddlemere United team member as a date for a Ball isn’t a big deal? It’s a huge deal,” said his date
“relax, we just happen to meet in the common room and we walked out together. We entered in just as friends and not as dates. He is having a good time with his friends so I excused myself. Seamus and Lavender are here,” whispered Sara to Derek and Fiona and Derek went red.
“hey what are you guys whispering about?” asked Ritchie
“top secret,” said Sara with an important look on her face and that made Derek blush even more deeply.
