Kazimeriz nodded with approval at the young girl as she brewed. "Nice technique..." he commented, watching her efficiently dice the innards. "Good thinking... try pre-soaking the shrivelfig in a tincture of water and undiluted stinksap before you add it to your potion; it will make it more effective." he recommended with an encouraging nod. Maybe being a bookworm does pay off. Hearing Kazimeriz's suggestion about the shrivelfigs, she stopped before adding them to pre-soak them. It was worth a try after all. Passing Carter all three of his ingredients, she smiled at him. "Thanks for the support. I do like the color blue and all, but I don't want to be that color." she laughed as she added the pre-soaked shrivelfigs and waited for it to come to a boil again. They were almost done, just the final boil and simmer before they would know if all was right.
She eyed her parchment in hopes that she was right about her ingredients and her suggestions for Carter's. She glanced over at him as he worked and smiled at the fact he wasn't yelling like before or hiding beneath the table. |
