Melanie looked doubtful for a moment. She'd ruled out the idea of Jake lying already. But, if her hearing was perfectly fine, he was telling the truth, annnd he still sounded odd...
Well technically not all those statements could be correct, could they, unless she'd missed an option...or something?
As he explained, Melanie raised a brow, giving him a quizzical look. His explanations weren't exactly fitting together, like puzzle pieces.
"What happened to your voice then? Some odd accent you got there, or what?" she pressed, curiously.
"I mean...I guess it's not so bad." Melanie added good-naturedly, giving him an encouraging nod. After all, if it was something he couldn't help she didn't wanna hurt his feelings. Though...either way, he was acting a rather strange about the situation.
So, in an attempt to lighten the air, Melanie grinned widely, hit by an sudden inspiration.
"That's a nice tapestry, y'know." she commented oh-so-casually glancing over at it.
