"Well that is what it is, I'd say. Misplacing time." He nodded once. "If you find the recording thing hard, perhaps you can instead pop by my office or, whichever professor or even see a friend if it is easier, at the same time every day. If you don't show up, then I, or they, go looking for you and we'll see what we can discover."

And then, the professor who was not at all touchy feely with his students gently clapped Jake on the shoulder for the briefest of moment.

"Of course." Had Jake really expected he'd not do his best to help?
